Bowl Season Overview

The 2024-25 college football bowl season is set to be a thrilling event. With a total of 47 bowl games, including four playoff first-round games, four quarterfinal games, two semifinals, and the national championship on January 20, there will be plenty of action on the field. Conference championship weekend will play a crucial role in solidifying the playoff teams and setting the stage for the postseason.This season, all of the former New Year's Six bowls will be used for the College Football Playoff, with the quarterfinals taking place on December 31 and January 1 at the Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Sugar Bowl. The semifinals will be held at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl on January 9 and 10 respectively. These six major bowls will rotate the CFP quarterfinals and semifinals in the future.
